Kennicott Wilderness Guides is the local guide service providing professional service and unique Alaskan hospitality since 1995. We are a close-knit group of locally-grown mountaineers and year-round Alaskans, proud of both the high percentage of return & lifetime guides who call Kennicott-McCarthy home as well as the spectacular and authentic wilderness experiences and adventures we provide visitors year after year. KWG has the lowest client to guide ratio of any service operating within Wrangell St. Elias National Park, giving clients the level of safety and service they deserve. In addition, our guides have Wilderness First Responder training, carry first aid & satellite phones, and have never had a negative encounter with a bear in the backcountry.
